Tutoring Rates
All tutoring is with The OChem Tutor. You will always be working face-to-face with me.

You will be seeing my mug along with notes being annotated on your computer screen as we develop your OChem Eye of the Tiger!
You are welcome to pay-as-you-go with the individual session rates outlined below, or you can purchase a 6-hour prepaid tutoring package (the 6-pac) that works out to be a rate of $87.50/hour.
Payments can be handled with Zelle, Venmo, Apple Cash, or PayPal only.
Tutoring can be one-on-one, or, for the same rates, you can do sessions with your friend.
The rates shown below are the same for either private tutoring with you and me, or for pairs tutoring where two students are together in the session. To be clear, that means if two students are meeting with me during the same session, it is the same $95 for the 1-hour individual session as it would be if we're doing one-on-one. The two students are NOT paying $95 each for the hour, it is a total of $95 for the hour.
For pairs tutoring, I strongly suggest the two students be at a similar level of understanding of the course material. This helps us maximize the benefits for both of you during the sessions. Also, pairs tutoring must be with two students who know each other and are taking the same class. Please do not ask if I know a student who is also wanting to do sessions with another student.
Individual Session Rates
$95 for 1 hour session
$140 for 1.5 hour session
$180 for 2 hour session
Minimum session length is 1 hour.
All rates are firm and non-negotiable.
Payment for pay-as-you-go is due at the conclusion of session.
The "6-pac" Prepaid Package
The "6-pac" is a prepaid package of 6 hours of private tutoring for $525. This works out to be $87.50/hour. Please understand that you purchase the package before we do the 6 hours of tutoring, not afterwards.
You get my lowest rate for private tutoring when you purchase a 6-pac, and you can use the 6 hours in whatever increments you'd like. This means you can use it for sessions of any length (1, 1.5, or 2 hours) each time we meet, and we'll keep a record of the sessions and running balance so you always know how much time remains on the package.
Please understand that getting the benefit of the discounted rate comes with the assumption that we are going to meet regularly, and you will use all the hours in the package. Be sure you want to make that commitment before deciding to purchase a package as refunds on unused hours will only be issued to students who drop the class.
Additionally, the 6-pac is not a one-time offer. After we complete the 6 hours, you can purchase another 6-pac. I've had students say, "But I'm probably going to need more than 6 hours", perhaps thinking this is a one-time offer. No, I want it to be clear we can do as many 6-pacs as you want.
