Tutoring Rates
All tutoring is with The OChem Tutor. You will always be working face-to-face with me.

There are two options for paying for sessions: you are welcome to pay after each individual session at the rates outlined below for individual sessions, or you can purchase a 6-hour prepaid tutoring package (the 6-pac) that gives you savings on the hourly rate. Information on both options is outlined below.
Individual Session Rates
$50 for 30-minute session
$70 for 45-minute session
$85 for 1 hour session
$125 for 1.5 hour session
$165 for 2 hour session
All rates are firm and non-negotiable.
Payment is due at the conclusion of the session. Payments can be handled with Zelle, Venmo, Apple Cash, or PayPal only.
The "6-pac" Prepaid Package
The "6-pac" is a prepaid package of 6 hours of private tutoring for $480. This works out to be $80/hour. Please understand that you purchase the package before we do the 6 hours of tutoring, not afterwards.
You get my lowest rate for private tutoring when you purchase a 6-pac, and you can use the 6 hours in whatever increments you'd like from session to session. This means you can use it for sessions of any length (45-minutes, 1, 1.5, or 2 hours) each time we meet, and we'll keep a record of the sessions and the running balance so you always know how much time remains on the package.
Please understand that getting the benefit of the discounted rate comes with the assumption that we are going to meet regularly, and you will use all the hours in the package. Be sure you want to make that commitment before deciding to purchase a package as refunds on unused hours will only be issued to students who drop the class.
Additionally, the 6-pac is not a one-time offer. After we complete the 6 hours, you can purchase another 6-pac. I've had students say, "But I'm probably going to need more than 6 hours", perhaps thinking this is a one-time offer. No, I want it to be clear we can do as many 6-pacs as you want.
Tutoring can be one-on-one, or, for no additional charge, you can do sessions with your friend. The rates are for the time of the session regardless of whether it is private tutoring with one student or pairs tutoring with two.
For pairs tutoring, I strongly suggest the two students be at a similar level of understanding of the course material. This helps us maximize the benefits for both of you during the sessions. Also, pairs tutoring must be with two students who know each other and are taking the same class. Please do not ask if I know a student who is also wanting to do sessions with another student.
